How to Apply a Fresh Passport /Reissue Passport in Tamilnadu

Online Registration Form for Passport

• Online system has been introduced to apply passport.
•  Register through https://portal2.passportindia.gov.in/ .
• Diplomatic/Official who apply for Passport should select CPV Delhi option others select the Passport Office for the venue.
• Select the Passport Seva Kendra/Passport office (PSK) from the list provided.
• Fill your Name, Date of Birth, Email ID, Login Id and Password and click Register
• Now the login is created.
• Login to the Passport Seva portal using the ID created
• Click ‘Apply for Fresh Passport/Reissue Passport’ link
• Method 1 : Online Application Filling
• Select the basic criteria like, Applying for, Type of application, Passport pages, Validity and fill the relevant details and click submit.
• Method 2 : Offline Application (Download application and upload later)
• Download the application from “Click here to download the soft copy of the form”.
• Take a printout of the downloaded application from and fill it with appropriate details.
• Upload back the filled application in “Click here to upload the filled form ”
• Click “Police Clearance Certificate” link and fill all the relevant details and submit the form
• Online Payment
• Click the Pay and schedule appointment link on the “View Saved/Submitted Applications” to schedule an appointment by paying fees
• Payments can be done through
• Online Payments.
•  Internet Banking
•  Credit/Debit Card
• Challan Payment
• Pay in Cash at SBI branches.
• Once the payment is completed click the “Print Application Receipt” link to download the receipt containing Application Reference Number / Application Number
• Visit the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK)/ Regional Passport Office (RPO), where the appointment has been booked. Carry the Original documents along with the Booking receipt or the SMS which you receive during registration shall also be considered.
